Our Process
At Bergamot Workshop, we take great pride in the care and attention we put into every step of our production process. One of the most important parts of our process is picking, pressing, and dyeing by hand the flowers we use in our products. Here's a closer look at how we do it:
We carefully handpick each flower from the local gardens and fields of North East England. We only choose the most beautiful and vibrant flowers that are in season to use in our products. This way, our products reflect the natural beauty and seasonal changes of the North East English landscape.
Once we've handpicked the flowers, we place them between layers of paper and press them for several days. This process helps to preserve the flowers' natural beauty and vibrant colours, so they can be enjoyed year-round.
After the flowers have been pressed, we dye them in small batches using different types of dyes. This process allows us to create a range of colours and shades that perfectly complement our products.
Once the flowers have been handpicked, pressed, and dyed, we carefully craft them into our unique products, using resin to perfectly preserve the flowers forever. Each piece is made with the same care and attention to detail as the flowers themselves. Check out the final product here!
At Bergamot Workshop, we're passionate about preserving the beauty of our local landscape and bringing it into people's lives through our products. We hope that our process of handpicking, pressing, and dyeing the flowers we use in our products allows you to enjoy the beauty of North England all year round.
